Kitchen trends for 2025
2025 will bring big changes in kitchens that I find incredibly interesting. As the owner of MORITZ & BAKER estate agents, I'm used to seeing property trends and what people want in their homes - and kitchens are definitely at the heart of modern living. "The kitchen is no longer just a place to prepare food," I often tell clients. It's a space that combines technology, design, and environmental responsibility.
One of the biggest trends is smart appliances. Speaking from experience, I've grown to love a fridge that tells me what's missing and an oven that switches itself on before I leave the office. Controlling appliances via mobile apps and connecting devices such as induction hobs with built-in sensors makes everyday life easier and saves time. I see this trend as a symbol of convenience and efficiency, something that more and more of my customers appreciate.
Another thing I'm excited about is the modularity of appliances. It's no longer just about having a beautiful interior - multifunctional appliances that save space and time are invaluable. For example, ovens with dishwashers or induction hobs with integrated extractor hoods add a new dimension to a kitchen. And it makes sense to me. "Why have ten appliances in the kitchen when you can have half?
Materials are also important. I've always been concerned about the environment, and I'm pleased to see that natural materials such as wood and stone are becoming more popular. In addition, by 2025, there will be an even greater emphasis on energy-efficient appliances - ENERGY STAR-certified fridges and dishwashers are already commonplace. And what about matte finishes? These give kitchens a modern look and are easy to clean.
Speaking of design, colors will really be on fire in 2025! I've seen kitchens with boldly colored appliances, and while you might think a black oven or fridge is too dramatic, it actually adds a modern twist to a space.
In short, the kitchen is the heart of the home, and the trends that are coming up give me hope that we will live more comfortably, more ecologically, and in more beautiful surroundings. What more could you ask for?
